We Are Expanding Our Horizons
LHLM is expanding!
October 12, 2022

Greetings!

As new developments unfold, LHLM is changing its course of action to aid other distant struggling communities. Our non-profit organization's foundation has always been driven to provide humanitarian aid to children, families, and communities overcoming poverty. In the past, LHLM prioritized Haiti and its people. As a result of unfortunate circumstances involving conflicting power struggles in Haiti, LHLM regrettably had to cease providing financial support to its leaders.

Nevertheless, LHLM is an organization guided by Christian values and practices, and, despite making this difficult decision, we will not abandon the people of Haiti. Moreover, we will resume aid once the civil unrest in Haiti dissipates. On a happier note, and with great excitement, LHLM will expand its reach to help neighboring countries in need. In doing so, we decided to extend a helping hand to the people of Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Honduras. In order to spread God's love on a wider scale, LHLM's committed team reassessed its mission to better serve multiple communities. In the same way that Haiti is facing similar problems, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Honduras are facing similar ones. In contrast to Haiti, they have some form of stability when it comes to establishing precise lines of communication to allocate resources/funds. In spite of this, each of these countries faces high crime rates, poverty, and corruption.

As we progress, LHLM is building a mission house that will be a storage and categorizing facility for Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Honduras, among other countries. Our goal is to use the mission house as a focal point for local community assistance. In summer 2023, we hope to open a petting zoo and a vocational Bible camp.

We aim to provide necessities to those in need, like food or education, when we help underdeveloped countries. You can make a difference in someone else's life by donating, sponsoring, or volunteering. Taking a kind gesture can heal a wound that only compassion can heal, according to Steve Marabolis' book The Life, the Truth, and Being Free. By helping someone to make a positive impact on their lives, we hope to inspire someone to be a better version of their predecessors.

Our president Doris Miller recited a quote by Mark Victor Hansen, "Each one, reach one. Each one, teach one. Until all are taught." Also, she said, "if someone from another country would be willing to pay for my education or feed me, that could make a big difference." Negativity breeds negativity.

According to its owner Sammie Brown, the organization's mission is to exhibit love and loyalty. He stated, "Love exuberates loyalty. Getting out and showing people in need those others care for them changes one's perspective. The hope to love one another will eventually spark a deep-rooted loyalty for others and their country."

We Would Love Your Support
